Good morning,
In Asia stock indices finished the trading session with a negative performance after in China was released the HSBC Service PMI that disappointed financial community. The Shanghai Shenzhen CSI 300 Index closed at 2,238.64 (-2.28%) and in Hong Kong the Hang Seng Index closed at 22,687.93 (-0.57%). The Nikkei after reached its highest close since November 2007 on Dec. 30 and achieved a 57% performance during 2013 reopened after holidays and dropped to 15,908.88 (-2.35%).
In Europe Equities opened in a low volatility environment before the release of services-industry reports in the euro area. The Euro Stoxx 50 is trading at 3,075.10 (+0.02%) and the FTSE100 at 6,739.54 (+0.13%).
At 8:37 GMT the EurUsd is trading at 1.3605 (+0.12%) and the GbpUsd at 1.6365 (-0.32%). UsdJpy could not gain again area 105 and is at 104.55 (-0.27%). UsdCad is flat at 1.0625. The British pound is losing ground against the Euro and EurGbp is at 0.8311 (+0.45%).
Gold is flat after the 50$ rally of the last week: the shiny metal is trading at 1,239.63 $/ounce (+0.18%). Silver is at 20.04 $/ounce (-0.5%).
Crude oil is up 0.34 cents at 94.3 $/barrel (+0.36%) and Natural Gas is at 4.33 $/BTU (+0.46%).
In US at 15:00 GMT will be released the ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI at the result likely will be the driver of today risk appetite.
