Good morning,

China hosts German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and Premier Li Keqiang has said that economic performance has improved in the second quarter of the year. In Japan the Governor of the Bank of Japan Haruhiko Kuroda said stimulus will continue until the 2% inflation target has been reached. USDJPY was trading at 102.14

The NIKKEI was trading at 15379.44 down 57.69 points a decrease of 0.37% off the opening price.

In Europe there is no major data due out today, where the Swiss unemployment rate remained unchanged at 3.2% and German Industrial production was down for the month of May by 1.8% The Euro Dollar pair is trading at 1.3575 at time of writing. The Bank of England Interest rate decision is due this Thursday.

The FTSE was trading at 6857.15 while the DAX was trading at 10004.17

American markets were closed Friday, and today will see no releases of note from the United States Canada will publish the Ivey Purchasing Managers Index and the Business Outlook Survey today. USDCAD was trading at 1.0654 at time of writing while CABLE was at 1.7146. Federal Open Market Committee meeting minutes will be released on Wednesday.

The DOW closed at 17068.26 going into the long weekend.
