Australian House Price Index increased by 10.1% year on year for the second quarter, as well as sales picking up for the start of the third quarter. AUDUSD was trading at 0.9259 Japanese Industrial Production was up by 3.1% year on year for June and USDJPY was trading at 102.26 at time of writing. Japanese GDP will be the next major Asian data due to be released with expectations for a fall of 1.8% in the second quarter.

The NIKKEI was trading at 15161.31 up just 30.79 points an increase of 0.20%

European markets today will see ZEW Survey of the Economic Sentiment for the Euro Zone and Germany as well as the Current Situation Survey in Germany. The Italian Consumer Price Index will also be published this session. British markets will see the quarterly report from the Bank of England out tomorrow, along with a speech from Governor Mark Carney. EURGBP was trading at 0.7968

The FTSE100 was trading at 6622.17 while the DAX was trading at 9147.57

EURUSD was trading at 1.3364 while the main data release from the US will be the July Budget Statement. Expectations for a $98B shortfall in the budget are forecast, off a surplus of $71B in June. Retail Sales figures are due for release during tomorrow’s session. GOLD is trading at $1310 per ounce at time of writing, while USOIL is currently priced at $97.28 per barrel.

The DOW closed at 16569.98 yesterday.
