FUNDAMENTAL ANALYSIS BY NSFX 14.11.2013

Japanese Gross Domestic Product figures were out slightly higher than expected with and annualized reading of 1.9%, above the 1.7% expected. The JPY gained on the news and is now trading at 99.75 against the USD, whereas before the announcement the price was 60 pips lower. Aussie dollar was trading down against the USD. AUDUSD is trading at 0.9320 with a high of 0.9384 and a low of 0.9317 so far.

The NIKKEI closed at 14876.40 up 309.25 or 2.12%

European Central Bank publishes their monthly report this morning, while Italy and Portugal will announce their respective GDP figures. GBP traders will be looking towards the UK Retail Sales figures also out this morning. CABLE is trading at 1.6045 with a high of 1.6060 and a low of 1.6024. EUR/USD was trading at 1.3463 with a high of 1.3493 and a low of 1.3450 so far.

The FTSE100 closed at 6687.19 an increase of 57.19 points or 0.86% while the DAX closed at 9130.55 up 75.72 or 0.84%

US figures today include Jobless Claims figures. Canada will at the same time be announcing the release of Import/Export figures. The expected future Chair of the FED, Janet Yellen will be giving a speech 90 minutes after these figures are released, and interest in her stance will be higher than ever as her expected tenure draws closer. Current Chairman Ben Bernanke’s term ends in the New Year. Gas and Oil storage and stock figures will also be out later today. USOIL was trading at 93.80 with a high of 93.99 and a low of 93.59 so far.

The DOW closed at 15821.60 up 70.96 points or 0.45%
