FUNDAMENTAL ANALYSIS BY NSFX 16.02.2015

Good morning,

Japanese Industrial Production rose by 1.0% in December, with Capacity Utilization up by 2.0% for the same period. USDJPY trading at 118.59 Chinese Foreign Direct Investment grew by a 29.4% from a year earlier, the strongest gain in four years. The Reserve Bank of Australia will publish meeting minutes in the next 24 hours. AUDUSD trading at 0.7783 at time of writing.

The NIKKEI was trading at 18004.77 up 91.41 or 0.51% from Friday’s close.

A quiet day in Europe expected, with just Turkish and Norwegian Budget and Trade Balance figures out, followed by the Euro Zone Trade Balance for December. Tomorrow should see more data, with British Consumer Price Index figures and the German ZEW Survey the main ones to watch. EURGBP trading at 0.7407 SNB Chairman Thomas Jordan is scheduled to speak tomorrow. EURCHF trading at 1.0632

The FTSE100 was trading at 6866.56 while the DAX was trading at 10927.67 early in the session.

The US markets remain closed for the President’s Day holiday today. FOMC meeting minutes on Wednesday could be the most eagerly awaited news this week. EURUSD trading at 1.1416 while GOLD is trading at $1234 per ounce.

The DOW closed at 18019.35 on Friday.
