FUNDAMENTAL ANALYSIS BY NSFX 16.12.2013

Good morning,

At 8:41 GMT equities in Europe are trading in a narrow range waiting the data flow of the session that will start at 09:00 with CPI data then  at 14:00 there will be the speech of ECB President Draghi.  The DAX in Germany is at 9,028, (+0.14%) and in UK the FTSE100 is just positive at 6,440.34 (+0.01%).

What equities are doing in Europe is uncorrelated with Asian Markets because there was a selloff in the Region that can be linked to worse than expected economic data from China and Fed Expected tapering .

In Japan the Nikkei 225 closed at 15.152.91 (-1.62%) and in Hong Kong the Hang Seng closed at 23.114.66 (-0.56%). In China the CSI300 index finished the trading session at 2,367.92 (-1.61%).

In the currency market  the EurUsd is trading at 1.3752 (+0.07%) and the UsdJpy at 103.14 (-0.08%).   GbpUsd is at 1.6321 (+0.13%) and UsdChf is trading unchanged at 0.88.

The bad momentum for precious metals has not finished yet and Gold is trading at 1231.21 $/ounce (-0.59%) and Silver is again below 20 $/ounce and trading at 19.54 (-0.9%).
