FUNDAMENTAL ANALYSIS BY NSFX 17.12.2013

Good morning,
In Asia stocks (excluding China) had a positive session likely because after touched a 3 months level many traders covered their short positions. The Nikkei closed at 15,278.63 (+0.83%) and the Shangai Shenzen CSI 300 finished the trading session at 2,356.38 (-0.49%). In Europe there is a little bit of profit taking before the CPI data in UK (09:30 GMT) and ZEW data in Germany (10:00 GMT). The Eurostoxx 50 is trading below 3000 points at 2,954.47 (-0.82%). The FTSE index in UK is trading at 6,485.36 (-0.56%) and in Germany the DAX is at 9.124.85 (-0.42%). The Financial community is expecting that after the 2 days meeting that will finish tomorrow the FED start to reduce its bond purchase program ($85B mixed between Governament and mortgage bonds).
In the currency market the EurUsd is trading at 1.3775 (0.11%) and the UsdJpy at 102.92 (-0.1%). GbpUsd is up 34 pips at 1.6330 (+0.22%) and the Canadian Dollar is gaining 11 pips vs. the Greenback. UsdCad is at 1.0583 (-0.11%).
Precious metals are down after they started in positive territory: Gold is trading at 1238 $/ounce (-0.21%) and Silver at 19.91 $/ounce (-0.2%).
