FUNDAMENTAL ANALYSIS BY NSFX 22.05.2014

Good morning,

Chinese HSBC Manufacturing PMI was published above expectations with a reading of 49.7 with an expected reading of 48.1. Asian Markets gained on the back of these figures. Australian and New Zealand Consumer Expectation figures were increased from their previous results. AUDUSD was trading at 0.9265

The NIKKEI was trading at 14337.79 up 295.62 points an increase of 2.11%

European figures due out today include French, German and Euro Zone Markit PMI data. The main event from the region today will most likely be the British GDP figure. The figure is expected to be published at 3.1% EURGBP hit fresh lows yesterday, levels not seen since January 2013, currently trading at 0.8088 CABLE is trading at 1.6895

The FTSE100 closed at 6821.04 up 19.04 points or 0.28% while the DAX closed at 9697.87 up 58.79 points an increase of 0.61%

Canadian Retail Sales figures will be published for March. US Jobless Claims figures are expected out at 310K. Further figures of interest from the US will include the Markit Manufacturing PMI and the CB Leading Indicator. Gas Traders will be looking for the EIA Natural Gas Storage change data, with NGAS currently trading at 4.484

The DOW closed at 16533.06 up 158.75 points or 0.97%
