FUNDAMENTAL ANALYSIS BY NSFX 22.08.2014

Good morning,

A very quiet day ahead on the data releases in Asia and in Europe today aside from Italian Retail Sales figures, before Mario Draghi, the ECB President makes a speech later this session. The Jackson Hole Symposium will be the ongoing in the US with Janet Yellen scheduled to speak on Labour Markets.

The FTSE100 was trading at 6780.06 while the DAX was trading at 9398.59

Bank of Japan’s Governor Kuroda will also speak today at the Jackson Hole Symposium; USDJPY was trading for 103.77 at time of writing.

The NIKKEI was trading at 15539.19 down 47.01 points, a drop of 0.30% from yesterday’s close.

Canada will release Consumer Pice Index data for July, and we will be watching the Loonie around this time, currently USDCAD is trading for 1.0942 Retail Sales figures for June will also be released, but these are of slightly less significance.

The DOW closed at 17039.49 up 60.36 points, an increase of 0.36%
