FUNDAMENTAL ANALYSIS BY NSFX 22.10.2013

Yesterday US equity indices traded in a range and no direction was taken because the financial community is focused on the data release of the Non Farm Payrolls and Unemployment rate. Data that will be released today at 12:30 GMT. The S&P500 closed at 1744, up 0.16 points (+0.01%), Nasdaq index closed at 3920 (+0.15%), up 5.77 points. The DJIA ended the session down -7.45 points at 15932.2. In Asia the Nikkei closed up +19.68 points at 14713.2 (+0.13%) and the Hang Seng in Hong Kong lost -116.34, or -0.50% at 23321.8. In Australia the ASX200 ended at 5373, or 21.37 (+0.40%). In Europe today equities are waiting the situation of the US economy to have a compass for trading decision. STOXX 50 is trading at 3028 (-0.01%), DAX at 8860, down -6.35 points (-0.07%). In UK th FTSE100 is up 8.81 points at 6663.01 (+0.13%). In the currency market the best G10 cross rate performance is AudJpy at 94.96 (+0.21%). EurUsd calm at 1.3677 (-0.02%) and GbpUsd at 1.6127 (-0.11%). The Japanese Yen continues to lose ground against the USD and UsdJpy is trading at 98.29 (+0.12%). Silver (-0.34%) at 22.17 and gold still above 1300 at 1315.43 (-0.02%).
