FUNDAMENTAL ANALYSIS BY NSFX 24.01.2014

Good morning,

Equities in Asia, excluding the Shangai Composite that rose 12.21 points at 2,054.39 (+0.6%), closed in negative territory. In Japan the Nikkei 225 lost 304 points at 15,392, down 1.94% and in Hong Kong the  Hang Seng lost 283.85 points at 22,450.06 (-1.25%)

In Europe, at 8:55 GMT stocks are down following the negative wave of Wall Street. The DAX is losing 11 points at 9,619.93 (-0.12%) and in UK the FTSE100 is down 6 points at 6,766.95 (-0.09%).

In the currency market the EurUsd is off the intraday high 1.3705 and is trading at 1.3673 (-0.17%).  UsdJpy is down for the second consecutive session at 103.01 (-0.23%) and broke the 55EMA after the financial community questioned the pace of the Abe program of quantitative easing.  GbpUsd is losing just 12 pips at 1.6624.  AudJpy is one of the worst performers of the day at 89.51 (-1.14%) , down 102 pips.

Gold is testing the dynamic resistance generated the last summer and is trading at 1,258.78 $/ounce (-0.44%) and Silver is up 19.99 $/ounce (-0.28%).

At 9:30 GMT Mortgage Approvals in Uk are going to be released and at 12:05 GMT Bank of England Governor Carney will hold a speech in Davos during the Workd economic Forum. Carney said however in a bbc interview that is premature to raise interest rates.

At 13:30 in Canada are going to released the CPI figures and at 17:00 ECB President Draghi will speech Davos.
