US ISM non-manufacturing activity falls to 56.9 in September. United States Labour Market Conditions Index declined to 0 in September from previous 2.1. United States Markit PMI Composite declined to 55 in September from previous 55.3. Bond yields in US rise as prices fall. Suncor Announces Hostile Takeover Bid for Canadian Oil Sands. If successful, the transaction will give Suncor, Canada’s largest integrated energy company, control of Syncrude, which is Canadian Oil Sands’ only asset. USDCHF is trading at 0.9762 while GBPUSD is trading at 1.5149

European Monetary Union Retail Sales (MoM) above expectations (-0.1%) in August: Actual (0%). UK services PMI dropped, new work growth hits 29-month low. The Stoxx Europe 600 Index advanced 3% at the close of trading in London. The FTSE 100 index UKX, +2.76%  climbed 2.8% to close at 6,298.92, building on a 1% advance from Friday, a disappointing U.S. jobs report triggered speculation the Federal Reserve won’t lift interest rates until 2016. The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 gained an advance of 3.54% to close at 4,616.90 points on Monday, up 158.02 points. The Spanish stock market index, Ibex-35, rose a powerful 3.83% on Monday to shut at 9,971.30 factors, up from the 9,603.60 factors of Friday. Spain’s credit rating was boosted to BBB+ by Standard & Poor’s, which cited reforms to labour regulations, improved export competitiveness and easier financial conditions for the economy. EURUSD is trading at 1.1188 while EURGBP is trading at 0.7379

Australia Imports: 1% (August) vs 0%. Australia Exports declined to 0% in August from previous 2%. The prospect of a delay in the U.S. Federal Reserve's plan to raise interest rates and signs of some stability in oil and commodity markets boosted Asian stocks. USDJPY is trading at 120.44 while AUDUSD is trading at 0.7081.
