Chinese Caixin PMI hits 47, its lowest level since April 2008. EURJPY trading at 134.01 while USDJPY trading at 120.05.

European markets are broadly higher today with shares in London leading the region. The FTSE 100 is up 1.62% while Germany's DAX is up 0.44% and France's CAC 40 is up 0.10%. European Monetary Union Markit PMI Composite came in at 53.9 below forecasts (54.1) in September. The manufacturing PMI slipped to 52.00 from August’s 52.3, while the services PMI fell to 54.0 from August’s 54.4. France Markit PMI Sept flash 50.4 vs 48.6 expectations while Germany Markit PMI Sept flash 52.5 vs 52.6 expectations. USDCHF fails to sustain gains, SNB says Franc still significantly overvalued. USDCHF trading at 0.9783 while EURCHF trading at 1.0916.

Canada Retail Sales ex Autos (MoM) below forecasts (0.4%) in August: Actual (0%). USD/CAD eyes 1.3300 post-data. United States Markit Manufacturing PMI meets expectations (53) in September. EURUSD trading at 1.1160 while USDCAD trading at 1.3321.
