In Asia the Nikkei after it traded above 16,000 points for the first time since 2007 closed in positive territory at 15,889.33. In China the CSI 300 index closed at 2,288 (+0.16%) and in HongKong the Hang Seng  finished the session at 23,179.55 (+1.13%).

In Europe  equities are trading with low volumes and reduced trading hours will postpone the market reaction regarding the release of the US macro data. In Germany the DAX is trading at 9,500 (+0.3%) and in UK the FTSE100 is at 6702 (+0.4%).

In the currency market the EurUsd is at 1.3673 (-0.17%), UsdJpy at 104.24 (+0.13%) . GbpUsd  is trading at 1.6325 (-0.18%) and UsdChf at 0.8958 (+0.25%).

Gold is struggling to regain 1,200 $/ounce and is trading at 1198.48 with an unchanged performance. Silver is at 19.36 $/ounce  (-0.4%).

Natural Gas is at  4.48 $/BTU (0.45%) and crude oil at 98.78 $/barrel, (-0.13%).   The catalyst of the they  is going to be the US Durable Goods data that will be released at 13:30 GMT.

US equities will trade with reduced hours as well for Christmas  Eve.
