Should the price of gold decline further we could see the development of a head and shoulders pattern on the daily chart. Resistance expected towards the 1220 area going forward. Support in the 1200 psychological level area expected.

Support holding towards the 1.4635 area, the low set in March. A fresh yearly low set yesterday at 1.4565 could be targeted should the March low give way. The 1.48 figure resistance giving way, and this could offer support going forward.

Support in the 1.0460 to 1.05 figure area expected. Should this level hold we could see some buying which may possibly retest the 50 day SMA beyond the 1.07 figure level, an area which held during this session so far. A break of the 1.0460 could then test the 1.04 figure, before the 1.0345 level[...]
