Price surged past the top of early 2016’s rally at 1124.71. The rally, however, stalled inside a major retracement zone and after the test of a long-term down trending angle. On hourly charts, gold is seen breaking lower.

The short term picture is bullish, given that in the 4 hours chart, the price holds above its moving averages whilst the technical indicators present strong upward slopes in positive territory. EURUSD has completed its ascending structure as a correction.
