Good evening,

Gold is gaining 13$ at 1,081.7 $/oz (+1.22%), after it made this week a fresh multiyear low. Today positive performance could be viewed as a pullback or a short term reversal, in an environment where the US dollar is losing ground for the second consecutive session against both major and minor currencies.

EurUsd is gaining 74 pips at 1.0733 (+0.69%) and UsdJpy is down 75 pips at 122.8 (-0.60%). GbpUsd is trading at 1.5288 (+0.34%) and UsdChf is losing 65 pips at 1.0133 (-0.64%) after  the rate found resistance against the level traded  on January before the SNB decision that crashed EurChf.

US stocks are fluctuating around the opening, consolidating the gains of this week and the S&P is up 0.25 points at 2,083.83 (+0.01%). Crude Oil risks to close in negative territory for the third consecutive week: the commodity is trading at 41.81 $/barrel (-0.45%).

Continuing Claims in US were above the consensus but Initial Claims did better than was expected and this evening FED Stanley Fischer speech may increase the volatility of risky assets. Tomorrow ECB Draghi speech at 08:00 GMT and Canadian CPI will be the most relevant events of the day.
